• 1/2 cup brewed and cooled Blackout Cinnamon
French Toast Flavored Coffee

• 1/2 cup cream, half & half, or milk

• 4 large eggs

• 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

• 8 slices brioche or other firm sandwich  bread, about 1/2" thick

• 4 tablespoons butter, for frying

Instructions

  • Make the batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the cooled coffee, cream, eggs, and vanilla (if using) until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  • Dip the bread: Pour the batter into a shallow dish. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture briefly, allowing it to soak up the flavor on both sides.
  • Fry it up: Heat a skillet over medium heat and coat with a tablespoon of butter. Cook each slice for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Add more butter as needed between batches.
  • Serve warm: add a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of maple syrup, or fresh fruits.
